Dealing with the Government in Thailand

Government offices are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm and are closed on Saturday and Sunday. It is recommended that you speak to the Chief of the Department and make an appointment before visiting the required government department.

Like governments in every country, every procedure you need to undertake will involve lots of paperwork. The official language used is Thai and almost all documents will be in Thai language. You may need to consult with a lawyer in order to submit the correct documentation and official translations should be done by your embassy.
